Wedding Music That Adds To The Joy Of The Occasion

Wedding music is one of the major considerations during wedding preparations. It may sound like an easy task but it isn't as simple as it sounds. If you really want to make your wedding special, then the best thing to do would be to choose the music along with your partner. It is important that both of you choose the music together. After all, it is a special day for both of you, a day that you will both cherish for the rest of your lives.

Types Of Music

All couples have different ways of celebrating their marriage. You could have a formal church wedding followed by a reception in the church grounds. Of you could have your marriage ceremony as well as the reception at your home. For a traditional church wedding, it is better to opt for traditional wedding ceremony music like "Here Comes The Bride" and "Wedding March". These songs have been played for wedding ceremonies for a long time and give a touch of old world tradition.

If you are having the ceremony and reception somewhere other than a church, then you have complete freedom to choose the type of wedding music that you want. You don't have to stick to tradition. You could have a band playing at your reception or you could hire a Disc Jockey to play the latest tunes that everyone would love to dance to. The best part about modern day marriages is that the bride and groom get to choose their wedding reception music without having to stick to the old conventional songs.

Most couples have a special song which is "their song". When you dance for the first time as husband and wife, "your song" is the perfect song to be played. It could be a slow romantic song or even a peppy pop song. It doesn't matter as long as it is your special song. It is best not to only stick to slow love songs throughout the reception as it can get boring after a while. You can choose popular wedding music which you and your guests can dance to.

Also, it would be a good idea to choose the songs for each special dance well in advance. The first dance as a married couple, the bride dancing with her father and the groom dancing with his mother, these should have specially chosen songs. The music for the rest of the party can be anything from pop to rock and roll. You should choose your wedding music with care. That will ensure that everyone in the wedding party and all the guests have a great time.
